Bridge is an electromagnetics plug-in for PetrelTM, one of the industry’s leading geological and geophysical integration platforms. The launch of Bridge brought long awaited electromagnetics functionality to the standard PetrelTM workflow.

Interpretation of Electromagnetic Data

Interpretation of EM data is usually not a straightforward task, and requires proper software tools and robust interpretation methodology. Bridge  provides both - through superior functionality and sophisticated workflows.

Since EM is not a standalone tool, integration with seismic and other subsurface data is needed to extract the full value from EM data in an exploration workflow. Bridge users benefit from the geological and geophysical integration platform of PetrelTM.

We argue that combined data- and model driven integrated interpretation is the best approach when interpreting EM data. Interpretation of EM data should therefore be based on both attribute analysis, forward modeling and inversion.

Since modeling is very important in understanding and integrating EM data, we are planning to include both inversion and more advanced forward modeling tools in future versions of Bridge.
