Blueback Reservoir AS achieves Preferred Ocean Development Partner status

Denver, October 18, 2010 - Blueback Reservoir AS are pleased to announce that they have achieved Preferred Development Partner status on the Schlumberger Ocean* software development framework.

This recognition by Schlumberger was approved following the clear demonstration of an additional level of commitment to the Ocean Ecosystem. This enables the growing number of stakeholders to gain access to development services for Ocean plug-ins for Petrel* software.

Blueback Reservoir’s software development team have committed to exclusive use of Ocean as a development environment, and they have been certified as an Ocean Competent Authority following an audit against strict coding standards established by Schlumberger. Blueback Reservoir’s multi-client Ocean plug-ins are now automatically “Ocean Certified” with a “Gold” ranking, ensuring high quality and rapid support response. Blueback plug-ins are sold exclusively on the Ocean Store.

Furthermore, Blueback Reservoir have articulated their clear commitment to a targeted growth in Ocean development services, through the active recruitment and training of new Ocean developers.
